How LonsLabs collects, uses, and protects information.
This privacy policy explains how LonsLabs ("LonsLabs", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit lonslabs.com, contact us, or use the LonsLabs service. LonsLabs is established in Spain and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data-protection law.
1. Who is responsible

2. Data we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, work email, company, and the content of your message when you use our contact form or email us.
- Account information — if you are granted access to the service, the details needed to create and administer your account.
- Customer content — traces, prompts, policies, evaluation cases, and related material that your organisation submits to the service. We process this content on your organisation's instructions as a processor.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and timestamps, collected through server logs.
- Cookies — we use only strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To respond to enquiries and requests for access — legitimate interest and, where relevant, steps prior to a contract.
- To provide, secure, and improve the service — performance of a contract and legitimate interest.
- To keep the website secure and available — legitimate interest.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
- For anything else, such as optional communications — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Customer content
Content submitted to the LonsLabs service belongs to your organisation. We process it solely to deliver the service, according to our agreement with your organisation and its instructions. We do not sell customer content and do not use it to train models made available to other customers.
5. Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and the service (such as hosting, email delivery, and analytics limited to essential operation), with professional advisers, and where required by law. Providers act under contracts that restrict their use of data to our instructions.
6. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. Retention
We keep contact enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and no longer than 24 months after our last exchange unless a business relationship follows. Account and customer data are retained for the duration of the agreement and deleted or returned afterwards, subject to legal retention requirements. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email privacy@lonslabs.com. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish data-protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), or with your local supervisory authority.
9. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and logging. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by law.
10. Children
Our website and service are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top indicates the latest version. Material changes will be announced on this page.
